2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Piero Umiliani.

Four Flies has a long-standing relationship with the Umiliani estate. About a decade ago, we were among the first to return to his studio archives after many years, which led to our curated compilation Studio Umiliani and the discovery of rare and unexpected material. 

Since then, we’ve continued to curate and share his work, bringing to today’s listeners both archival recordings and new productions inspired by his spirit and approach.
